Zest Education takes pride in its partnership with a secondary school located in Staffordshire, who is currently inviting applications for an exceptional Design & Technology teacher. This is a full-time position commencing in February 2025, with a minimum duration of one half term.
The school places great emphasis on equality and diversity, as well as nurturing emotional and intellectual resilience in its students, enabling them to become responsible members of society. It has received a commendable ‘good’ rating from Ofsted and continues to thrive.
Ideally, the school seeks a creative and innovative individual who can maintain a positive learning environment through their teaching methods. This presents a wonderful opportunity to contribute significantly to the lives of young students, achieve outstanding exam results, and consistently raise standards.
The successful applicant must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
– A PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification in the UK, leading to either QTS or QTLS.
– An ardent passion for Design & Technology, coupled with extensive subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Familiarity with Resistant Materials would be advantageous).
– A team-oriented mindset, eager to be part of a cohesive work environment.
– Proficiency in planning, marking, and delivering high-quality lessons (planning and marking required only for short/long term placements).
– Strong classroom management skills, including effective behaviour management.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
