Job Description

Zest Education takes pride in its partnership with a secondary school located in Staffordshire, who is currently inviting applications for an exceptional Design & Technology teacher. This is a full-time position commencing in February 2025, with a minimum duration of one half term.

The successful applicant must possess the following qualifications and attributes:
– A PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification in the UK, leading to either QTS or QTLS.
– An ardent passion for Design & Technology, coupled with extensive subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Familiarity with Resistant Materials would be advantageous).
– A team-oriented mindset, eager to be part of a cohesive work environment.
– Proficiency in planning, marking, and delivering high-quality lessons (planning and marking required only for short/long term placements).
– Strong classroom management skills, including effective behaviour management.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
