Early Career Teacher

Here at Zest, we are working with a busy primary school on the outskirts of Erdington who are looking for an early career teacher to start with them from January 2024. The role will be until the end of the academic year working in KS1. The role will be on a full-time basis and the school are open to support the right candidate through their ECT years.

The two-form entry school provides an education for pupils from Nursery through to Year 6. The school also has a resource base for pupils with additional needs. The school provide an inclusive curriculum and environment where all pupils are supported to reach their full potential. The school is part of an excellent MAT along with many other schools in the local area.

To be successful in this role you must be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs. You must also have a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and be able to employ a range of suitable learning and teaching strategies and styles to ensure effective learning of all pupils.

A small amount of planning and assessment will be expected, and you will be given sufficient time to complete during the school week. You will be expected to complete all marking and attend some staff meetings during your time.

The pay for this role will start from £120 a day depending on references and experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
