Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Tamworth, starting in September 2025. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Providing one-to-one and group support to pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Helping to create a safe, fun, and stimulating learning environment
Assisting with planning and delivering engaging learning experiences
Monitoring pupil progress and helping to maintain accurate records
Have recent experience working with young children, ideally within an Early Years or primary school setting
Hold a relevant qualification (such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent)
Be enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact in the classroom
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be adaptable and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
A supportive school environment with a strong leadership team

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
