About the Role

Zest Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Kingshurst and the surrounding areas, who are seeking motivated and inspiring English Teachers to support from September 2026 on a supply basis.

These roles are ideal for passionate educators who can confidently deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, supporting learning, progress, and a positive classroom environment. Opportunities range from day‑to‑day supply to short‑term and long‑term placements starting in the new academic year.

You will be joining established English departments where collaboration is encouraged, behaviour expectations are clear, and staff are well supported. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact across a variety of school settings in Kingshurst.

The Role Will Involve:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
• Providing clear, constructive feedback to support student development
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and professionalism

Planning and marking are required for short‑term and long‑term placements only.

What We’re Looking For:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS/QTLS
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
• Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
• Ability to teach KS3–KS4 confidently (KS5 is desirable but not essential)
• A proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
