🧑‍🏫 English Teacher – Secondary Schools (Telford & Surrounding Areas)

Start Date: After Easter 2026
Location: Telford & surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

Zest Education is seeking motivated and inspiring English Teachers to work across a number of fantastic secondary schools in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who can engage KS3 and KS4 students through dynamic, well-structured lessons that build confidence, encourage progress, and spark a genuine love for English.

You will be joining supportive English departments where creativity is valued, collaboration is encouraged, and professional development opportunities are readily available. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or a newly qualified ECT, these roles offer the chance to make a real impact across multiple vibrant school communities in Telford.

You Will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and track pupil progress using a variety of methods
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support student growth
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and expectations

What We’re Looking For:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS/QTLS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for English, with the ability to teach KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Experience delivering English within a secondary setting, with solid behaviour management
  • Ability to plan, mark, and deliver high‑quality lessons

Note: Planning and marking required only for short‑term or long‑term placements.
