🧑‍🏫 English Teacher – Secondary School (Wolverhampton & Surrounding Areas)

Start Date: After Easter 2026
Location: Wolverhampton (commutable from the Black Country)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

A well‑established secondary school in the Wolverhampton area is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. The school offers a supportive and inclusive environment, with a strong focus on high‑quality teaching and positive outcomes for all pupils.

This role is ideal for a teacher who loves their subject, values strong classroom relationships, and enjoys delivering engaging English lessons across varying year groups.

You Will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Assess student progress using a variety of assessment methods
  • Provide effective feedback and tailored academic support
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and classroom conduct
  • Work collaboratively with the English department where required

Planning and marking are required only for short‑term or long‑term placements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS or QTLS
  • Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for English
  • Confident teaching KS3–KS4 (KS5 experience is an advantage)
  • Previous experience teaching English in a secondary school
  • Effective behaviour management and rapport‑building skills
  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high‑quality lessons
