Job Description

Are you passionate about working with young children and supporting their early years’ education? Do you have a Level 2 qualification in childcare or early years education? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Support Assistant to join a reputable school in Burton on Trent. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Responsibilities:
– Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons to promote the development of essential skills and knowledge in line with the EYFS curriculum.
– Support individual children’s learning needs, including those with special educational needs or disabilities.
– Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
– Collaborate with the teaching team to assess and monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and carers when necessary.
– Promote a love for learning and ensure that all children feel valued and supported in their educational journey.

Requirements:
– Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in childcare or early years education.
– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is advantageous.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– A proactive and engaging approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
