Are you passionate about supporting the development and growth of young children? We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary team based in the beautiful town of Burton on Trent.

We believe that the foundation of a child’s education is crucial for their future success. That’s why we are looking for an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant who shares our passion for early childhood education and can provide excellent support to young learners.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, your main responsibility will be to assist qualified teachers in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children aged 3-5 years. You will play a vital role in supporting the physical, social, and emotional development of our students, ensuring that each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the EYFS teaching team to plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
– Provide support and assistance to children with their learning, including one-on-one and small group interventions.
– Promote positive behaviour and maintain a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
– Monitor and record students’ progress, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
– Support the implementation of EYFS curriculum guidelines and assess children’s development in line with these standards.
– Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular feedback on their child’s progress and well-being.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of our early years provision through sharing ideas and participating in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
– Hold a relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
– Previous experience working with children in an EYFS setting is desirable.
– A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
– Knowledge of the EYFS framework and the ability to implement it effectively.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
