Job Vacancy: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Acocks Green, Birmingham
Start Date: October 2025
Contract Type: Permanent
Zest education are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Acocks Green is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team on a full-time, permanent basis starting in October 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community, working alongside experienced staff to help give our youngest learners the very best start to their education.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
Contribute to the creation of a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
Assist with observations, assessments, and record-keeping to track pupil progress.
Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Have experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally within a school environment.
Demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
Be patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children’s early learning.
Be a reliable team player with strong communication skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
