Zest Education is an award-winning education recruitment agency and are currently looking for a full-time teaching assistant to go into a welcoming school in Telford. This role will start in May and last until the end of the academic year. As a teaching assistant in this school, you will be required to work across the whole school not just one specific year group, so if flexibility and adapting are your strong points then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As a teaching assistant you will be required to work closely alongside the class teachers and support them in delivering inspiring and engaging lessons to the pupils whilst working closely with smaller groups or 1:1 with individuals that may require extra support to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for tracking students’ development and progress and communicating this to the relevant colleagues and parents/careers. You will have to promote high classroom and behavioural standards in line with the school expectations and beliefs.

In order to be a successful candidate for this role you will be required to hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service or be willing to obtain one and have relevant classroom experience. You must have an understanding of the current British curriculum and have strong communication skills in order to assist in delivering this effectively.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
