Zest Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work full time in a welcoming primary school in Rugeley. This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs, particularly ADHD and Autism (ASC).
Position: Full Time Teaching Assistant
Year Group: Year 2 (KS1)
Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Length: Until the end of the academic year
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
You will be working within the classroom, providing targeted 1:1 support for a child with ADHD and Autism, while also contributing to the wider learning environment. The role requires consistency, patience, and a nurturing approach.
Provide 1:1 and in-class support for a child with ADHD and Autism
Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Help implement individual education strategies and behaviour plans
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEND TA
Experience supporting children with ADHD and/or Autism (desirable)
Ability to commit to a full-time role until the end of the academic year
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
