Salary: Outer London Main Pay Scale (M3 to UPS3) + TLR
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent – September 2025

The Role

As Head of Biology, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Biology curriculum across all key stages, including KS5

  • Support, mentor, and develop other members of the team

  • Oversee curriculum planning, data tracking, and intervention strategies

  • Contribute to whole-school priorities as part of the extended middle leadership team

  • Promote enrichment opportunities, science outreach, and academic competitions

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher of Science with a strong Biology specialism (QTS required)

  • Experience teaching Biology across KS3 to KS5

  • Evidence of strong student outcomes and a commitment to inclusive excellence

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire others (middle leadership experience is desirable)

  • A collaborative and reflective practitioner ready to contribute to wider school life
