Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time role at a primary school in Lichfield. The position is set to commence in January 2025.
Located in the picturesque town of Lichfield, our primary school provides a warm and welcoming environment for both students and staff. The school prides itself on fostering a positive learning atmosphere where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. With a supportive team of educators and a focus on academic excellence, this school offers an ideal setting for a motivated HLTA to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
This primary school places great value on the vital role that HLTAs play in supporting teachers and enhancing the educational experience of students. HLTAs at this school are provided with ongoing training opportunities, collaborative planning sessions with teachers, and access to resources to help them excel in their roles. The school promotes a culture of professional development and recognizes the important contributions that HLTAs make to the overall success of the school.
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.
2. Leading small group activities and interventions to support student progress.
3. Providing one-on-one support for students with additional learning needs.
4. Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning materials.
5. Supporting the overall welfare and development of students within the school community.
Requirements:
1. Relevant qualifications and experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
4. A passion for supporting the educational development of young learners.
5. Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
