Intervention Class Teacher (Part Time)

Job Description

Zest are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated and skilled Intervention Class Teacher to join our inclusive primary school in Handsworth from September 2026.

This rewarding part-time role focuses on delivering targeted intervention support to pupils across the school, helping to close gaps in learning and ensure all children achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality intervention programmes in English and/or Maths
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils across KS1 and/or KS2
  • Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet specific needs
  • Liaise closely with class teachers to ensure targeted and consistent support
  • Contribute to raising attainment and improving outcomes
  • Provide feedback to staff, and where appropriate, parents/carers

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience of supporting pupils to close attainment gaps
  • Has a strong understanding of effective intervention strategies
  • Is skilled at building positive relationships with pupils
  • Has high expectations and a commitment to inclusion
  • Is organised, flexible and able to work collaboratively
