Job Description

Are you a dedicated and experienced Key Stage 1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) seeking a new and fulfilling role? Look no further! Zest are currently seeking a passionate HLTA to join a lovely school located in the heart of Tamworth.

As a HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational journey of our Key Stage 1 students. Working 4 days a week, you will work across various classrooms, collaborating with teachers to deliver high-quality lessons and provide individualised support to students.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Key Stage 1 students.
– Provide individual and small group support to students, ensuring their academic progress and emotional well-being.
– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect, empathy, and a love for learning.
– Assist in the monitoring and assessment of student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback when necessary.
– Contribute to the planning and organization of school events and activities, fostering a sense of community and school pride.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working  in a Key Stage 1 setting.
– A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
– A patient and understanding nature, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
– Relevant HLTA qualifications and certifications.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
