KS1 Class Teacher

A welcoming and community‑focused primary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated KS1 Class Teacher to join their team. This fully flexible role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning, confident in delivering the KS1 curriculum, and committed to helping young children build strong foundations for future success.

What You Will Do

• Teach a KS1 class with enthusiasm, structure and creativity
• Plan lessons that support progress across all core subjects
• Establish a positive classroom culture where children feel safe and motivated
• Use assessment to guide teaching and provide meaningful feedback
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families
• Contribute to wider school life, events and initiatives

Our ‘Must haves’

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE
• At least 3 months of classroom experience, including placements
• Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum expectations
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and consistently
• Excellent communication skills and a reflective approach to teaching
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
