📚 The Role

We are seeking a committed KS1 Teaching Assistant to join the school from April 2026 for the remainder of the Half Term, with the possibility of extension.

In this role, you will:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups to help them progress.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, organised classroom environment.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Participate in wider school life, including enrichment activities and community events.

By stepping into this position, you will play an active role in shaping young learners’ early education and helping them build strong foundations for the future.

👩‍🏫 The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children’s learning. Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • Have experience working with children, particularly within a primary school setting.
  • Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Stay organised and manage tasks efficiently throughout the school day.
  • Adapt creatively to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Approach challenges with patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.

With these skills, you will thrive in a busy KS1 classroom and make a meaningful impact on pupils’ development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
