Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Special Educational Needs School in Warwick
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Warwick. The school caters for children aged 5-18 with moderate learning difficulties, with a majority of students having additional needs such as autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, and some behavioural needs.
Role Description:
– Full-time position starting ASAP on a long-term basis
– Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:30
– Support and assist students in their learning and development
– Build professional and trusting relationships with students
– Ensure students’ health, safety, and overall development are a top priority
– Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum
– Provide 1:1 support to students and work with small groups as needed
– Implement positive behaviour management strategies
– Experience working with special educational needs or in a support work/care background is preferred
– Promote independence and autonomy among students
– Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
