Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants at a special educational needs school in Lichfield. We have multiple full and part-time roles available, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils and young people with complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in providing support to students aged 5-19, helping them with their communication, sensory, and behavioural needs. Your responsibilities will include managing challenging behaviours, adapting communication styles to individual pupil needs, and facilitating sustained progress in their learning journey.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils with special needs, possess strong resilience, patience, and adaptability, and be committed to creating a nurturing environment for vulnerable young people. If you are dedicated, compassionate, and ready to make a positive impact in the lives of these students, we want to hear from you.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
