Male PE Teacher

Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school in the Newcastle under Lyme area to recruit a male PE teacher for full time position set to start October 2024 for an initial period of one-half term, this role is likely to be extended as a Male teacher is required for changing room supervision, however this decision is up to the school.

As a male PE teacher in a full-time position, planning lessons and marking any practical work is an essential part of the role with this comes the responsibility of managing and supervising the changing rooms before and after a PE lesson, excellent behaviour management is essential.

This school is high performing with recent investments into the infrastructure, academically this means learning resources have improved with lessons becoming more interactive and dynamic.

A successful applicant will have the following:

• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
• A strong passion for PE as a subject and a vast knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4, knowledge at KS5 would also be advantageous.
• The desire to work as part of the larger department and with the wider school
• The ability to be involved and lead extracurricular PE clubs and activities
