Zest Education are currently seeking a dynamic and engaging Male PE Teacher for a full-time position at a Secondary School in the Halesowen area. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading practical lessons and ensuring a high level of student engagement and behaviour. The role is due to commence in May 2024 and will run for the rest of the academic year. This role is open to Male applicants only due to the sensitive nature of changing room supervision.

 

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Physical Education lessons.
– Lead practical activities including warm-ups, and drills.
– Foster a positive learning environment and promote student participation.
– Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
– Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Physical Education curriculum.
– Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements.
– Supervise students during physical education activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

 

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in physical education.
– Previous experience in leading practical physical education lessons.
– Strong knowledge of sports and fitness activities for various age groups.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to engage and motivate students in physical education.
– Demonstrated ability to manage student’s behaviour.
– Organisational and time management skills.
– Genuine passion for physical education and a commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
