Nursery Nurse (0.6)

Job Description

Are you an underpaid and over worked nursery nurse? Are you fed up with having no work/life balance? Well, Zest Education can help you find your desired work/life balance.

We have teamed up with a ‘good’ rated private nursery in the Oldbury area who are looking for a Nursery Nurse to begin as soon as possible on an ongoing basis (Maternity cover) working Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

The ‘good’ rated Nursery is a popular choice in the local community due to the team’s passionate and dedicated attitude in putting the children first in everything they do. The Nursery works hard to support each child, regardless of ability, and to ensure that each child has a safe space to grow and flourish, with extensive garden areas as well as multiple rooms.

As a Nursery Nurse, you will be expected to work together with the other members of staff in each room to ensure that all children are cared for. The successful candidate would be expected to deliver and engage in appropriate activities with the children in order to boost their development and to follow the EYFS Framework. This position requires the ability to work both alone and as part of a team.

 The desired candidate should have:
– Obtain a relevant childcare qualification, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare.
– Prior experience working within a early years or similiar setting.
– A passion for education and early childhood education with knowledge of the EYFS framework.
– Possess good communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents.

Responsibilities of the role include:
– Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
– Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to promote children’s physical, emotional, and social development.
– Collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure the well-being of the children.
– Monitor and record children’s progress and report any concerns to the appropriate authority.

Pay for this role will be based on experience and qualifications and will be decided on a candidate to candidate basis.

If you feel this position is for you, please email us on elliemorley@zesteducation.co.uk or ‘apply for job’ at the top of the page to submit your details.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
