Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you have experience working with young children in a school setting? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join a team at a primary school in Erdington.

The three-form entry primary school is a sought-after school in the local area who offers a high-quality education to all pupils catering for all needs. The school looking to create a warm and friendly atmosphere where all children are able to reach their full potential. The school is part of a local multi-academy trust where staff, governors, parents, and carers work together to provide the best for the children.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our youngest learners. Your responsibilities will include creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3-4 years old, planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities, and tracking each child’s progress and development.

Key Responsibilities:

– Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where children can thrive

– Plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities that promote learning and development

– Foster positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly on their child’s progress

– Monitor and assess each child’s progress and provide constructive feedback

– Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning community

– Stay up to date with the latest educational practices and participate in professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

– Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Early Childhood Education

– Prior experience working with nursery-age children in a school or similar setting

– Strong knowledge of the early years curriculum and educational best practices

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children

 

The pay for this role will range from £140 to £212 a day depending on references and experience. This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
