Part-Time HLTA

Zest Education is recruiting for a part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the dedicated team at Primary School in Cannock. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with teachers both inside and outside the classroom, supporting pupils across a range of subjects and activities.

📚 About the Role

• Work 13 hours per week across 2 days
• Prepare classrooms for lessons, including setting up equipment and sourcing learning materials
• Teach classes independently when teachers are absent or on leave
• Plan and deliver engaging learning and enrichment activities, either alongside teachers or independently
• Provide targeted support to small groups or individual pupils requiring additional attention
• Develop specialist curricula in areas of interest or expertise
• Assess pupil progress and share development updates with teachers, parents, and carers
• Offer pastoral support, consoling pupils who may be unwell, upset, or in need of reassurance

✅ What We’re Looking For

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to plan, deliver, and assess learning activities independently
• Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting pupils
• Commitment to fostering academic, social, and emotional development
