Zest Education, in partnership with a wonderful school in Rowley Regis, is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday mornings starting in December 2024 until the end of the academic year.

Our wonderful partner school known for its two-form entry system. The school provides a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and socially. With a focus on individualised attention and holistic development, the school prioritises creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students. The school’s curriculum is designed to challenge students while also catering to their individual learning styles.

To be successful within this position you must:
– Have a caring and nurturing attitude towards children
– Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well in a team and independently
– Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) is desirable for this position

– Role Responsibilities for Learning Support Assistant include:
– Provide one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties
– Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
– Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities
– Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
– Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Pay will begin from £77.00 per day and will depend on experiences and references.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
