Zest Education is currently recruiting a qualified Early Years Assistant for a part time role in a welcoming primary school in Lichfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting young children at the start of their education.

About the Role

  • Role: Part Time Qualified Early Years Assistant

  • Setting: Early Years / EYFS

  • Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire

  • Start Date: As soon as possible

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm

You will be working within the Early Years setting, supporting children with their learning, development, and daily routines. The school is looking for someone who is nurturing, enthusiastic, and committed to creating a positive early learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Assist with learning through play-based activities

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development

  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment

  • Work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team

Requirements

  • Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working in an EYFS or nursery setting

  • Ability to commit to Monday–Friday, 8:30am–12:30pm

  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
