Zest Education are looking for a Part time teacher to join a school in the Solihull area, starting in October 2024. You will have the invaluable opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students aged 5-11 with a range of learning difficulties. Your role extends beyond traditional teaching to becoming a mentor, advocate, and facilitator of growth for these students.

Responsibilities:

– Designing lessons that cater to the specific learning styles and needs of students with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum condition (ASC), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
– Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures student engagement, independence, and self-confidence.
– Regularly assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
– Collaborating with fellow educators to share insights, best practices, and innovative teaching techniques that benefit the entire student body.
– Maintaining open communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child’s progress, successes, and any challenges they may be facing.

Requirements:

– Possession of a valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
– Demonstrated expertise in teaching students with special educational needs, showcasing empathy, patience, and adaptability.
– Profound understanding of the National Curriculum and proven effectiveness in implementing diverse teaching methodologies.
– Exceptional communication skills that foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, creating a supportive network for student development.
– Commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive approach to staying informed about the latest educational advancements and inclusive practices.
