Zest Education is collaborating with a primary school in Swadlincote to find a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to become a valuable addition to their team. If you are available to work three days a week starting from September 2024, this ongoing position might be perfect for you.
The school enjoys strong community relations and is a well-liked option in Swadlincote. The staff prioritises the needs of the kids above all else and gives them a stimulating environment to grow in, complete with a large outdoor play area and several rooms to aid in growth.
To be successful in this role you must:
– Qualified teacher status
– Experience in delivering engaging lessons to primary school students
– Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
– Strong communication skills with students, staff, and parents
As a PPA Cover Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
-Managing the classroom and ensuring a positive learning environment
– Reporting back on students’ progress to the regular class teacher
-Providing cover for teachers planning, preparation, and assessment time
-Delivering pre-prepared lessons to ensure continuity in students’ learning – Ability to work across EYFS to Key stage 2

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
