Are you an adaptable and enthusiastic teacher looking for a flexible part-time role in a warm and welcoming school? We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Balsall Heath for a part-time PPA teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is a 0.4 contract, covering two days per week (flexible on days for the right candidate), with the initial contract running until December 2025. There is potential for the role to continue for the full academic year.
The successful candidate will provide PPA cover across the school, from EYFS through to Year 6, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum plans. The Head is seeking someone who is confident teaching across all primary age groups, adaptable to different classroom environments, and committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
This is a great opportunity for someone seeking part-time work, whether you’re returning to the classroom, balancing other commitments, or simply looking for a new role within a supportive school community.
To be considered for this position, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have recent experience teaching across the primary phase. Strong classroom management, flexibility, and a positive, proactive attitude are essential.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
