Zest Education – the Midlands’ fastest-growing education recruitment agency – is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive junior school in the Hall Green area of South Birmingham. We are currently recruiting for a full-time PPA teacher to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for variety, stability, and the chance to make a lasting impact across Key Stage 2.
About the Role
As a PPA cover teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across KS2 while class teachers take their planning, preparation, and assessment time. While full planning will be provided for each session, you’ll be expected to adapt resources and delivery to suit the individual needs of each class – including a high number of EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners.
This is a full-time role within a supportive and forward-thinking school that values diversity, inclusion, and high standards of teaching and learning.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has recent experience teaching in a primary setting, ideally in KS2
Can confidently deliver pre-planned lessons across multiple year groups
Is skilled at adapting lessons for varied learning needs, particularly EAL pupils
Brings strong classroom management, a flexible attitude, and a commitment to pupil progress

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
