Zest Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Burton-upon-Trent, starting November 2025. This is a full-time role continuing until the end of the term, with the potential for further opportunities.

🎯 Teaching Assistant Role Overview:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils’ learning across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2. The role includes:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs

  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of lessons

  • Helping manage behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting classroom activities and pupil engagement

  • Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment


✅ Ideal Candidate – Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a passionate and reliable individual with:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)

  • Previous experience supporting children in a school or educational setting

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A patient, caring, and proactive attitude

  • Strong behaviour management strategies

  • A genuine desire to help children reach their full potential
