Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to support the Early Years team at a primary school in Tamworth. This is a full-time role, starting after Easter, and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children during this crucial stage of development.

The role will involve small group work, supporting learning, communication, and early development in a nurturing and engaging environment.

The Role

As a Qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children across the Early Years / EYFS setting

  • Deliver small group interventions and targeted learning activities

  • Assist with learning through play and structured sessions

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and communication development

  • Work closely with the Early Years team to support individual learning needs

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Has experience working within EYFS in a school or nursery setting

  • Is confident leading and supporting small group work

  • Has a caring, patient, and proactive approach

  • Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively

  • Is available for a full-time role after Easter

  • Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday

  • Start Date: After Easter

  • Location: Tamworth

  • Setting: Primary School

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
