RE Teacher

Job Description

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher in search of a fresh opportunity? We are currently on the lookout for a skilled and experienced full time, RE Teacher to become part of the team at a well-regarded secondary school in Stoke on Trent, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. This opening is set to commence from January 2025, and there is a chance of part-time employment (0.8 FTE) for the ideal candidate.

In the role of an RE Teacher, you will be instrumental in moulding the spiritual and moral growth of students up to Key Stage 4. Proficiency in Philosophy and Ethics up to Key Stage 5 is essential, along with the ability to conduct stimulating lessons that ignite curiosity and critical thinking in our students.

Key Duties:
– Develop and deliver top-notch lessons aligned with the national curriculum
– Cultivate a favourable and inclusive learning setting
– Evaluate student progress and offer constructive feedback
– Work collaboratively with peers to devise and execute innovative teaching methodologies
– Engage with parents and guardians to bolster students’ educational progress
– Contribute to the holistic school community through extracurricular engagements

Prerequisites:
– Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching credentials
– Previous experience in teaching RE up to Key Stage 5
– Sound understanding of philosophy and ethics
– Exceptional organizational and communication proficiencies
– Capability to adapt teaching approaches to cater to students’ diverse requirements
– A zeal for teaching and a dedication to fostering student success
