RE Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education have the privilege of working closely with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school located in the Lichfield region of South Staffordshire, who need an RE Teacher, full time from September 2024 for a minimum of one half term with the likelihood to last for a whole term.

RE is one of the most popular subjects within the school and receives a significant uptake at GCSE. The successful applicant would be expected to perform a full and active role within the department, they would be working alongside a committed and professional departmental team.

The school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals.

The successful applicant will have:
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of RE and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
