Religious Education Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a Religious Education teacher, that can teach across KS3- KS4 in a large secondary school in South Birmingham, close to Selly Oak. The school are looking for someone to join them full time from April 2022, for the rest of the academic year.  

 This is a large secondary school, that is situated in a popular area, which makes it easily accessible by private or public transport. The school caters for a broad range of pupils, including high numbers of EAL students, the supportive departmental team put the students at the centre of all that they do, by creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment.  

The successful applicant will have: 

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS 
  • A great passion for the subject of Religious Education and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 
  • Good team ethos and enjoy being a part of a strong team environment 
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons 
  • Great classroom and behaviour management 
  • Adaptable, patient and have creative and innovative teaching methods 

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role. 

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
