About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Leicester. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be responsible for inspiring and engaging students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering exciting and practical science lessons that foster curiosity and a love for learning.

As part of a supportive and well-established science department, you will have access to excellent teaching resources, fully equipped laboratories, and a collaborative team environment focused on achieving outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and enthusiasm for science.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and professional development session

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in science and enthusiasm for teaching.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and student success.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated teaching team
