Science Teacher

Zest education is proud to be working with a high performing school in the Lichfield area, who are looking to recruit a Science teacher. The role is full- time and is due to start September 2024 for a minimum of one term, this may be extended for the rest of the academic year should the school decide it is necessary.

The school are very pupil focused and spend a large majority of their time making sure the pupils are enjoying the environment they are in. The school believe this is best way to get the most out of the pupils and that is why the school are very creative and innovative to make sure they are always improving.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of Science and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay vary dependent on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
