Science Teacher

Job Description

Zest is currently hiring a full-time Science teacher to begin in January 2025 for a term at a school located in the Market Drayton area of Telford. This school is conveniently situated and can be easily reached via various transportation options.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive subject knowledge up to KS4, while knowledge at KS5 is desirable but not essential. The school, being a local secondary institution, has a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) that is committed to assisting all staff members. Additional training and support are always available for those who require it or wish to further their professional development.

The preferred candidate will meet the following criteria:
– Holds a PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification that grants QTS or QTLS.
– Demonstrates passion for science and possesses exceptional knowledge across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
– Shows a willingness to collaborate with and support a wider team.
– Exhibits effective skills in lesson planning, marking, and delivery.
– Has previous experience in classroom management and dealing with behaviour.
