Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands
Contract: Full‑time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

Zest Education is working with a well‑established secondary school in the Stourbridge area that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team from April 2026 until the end of the academic year.

You will teach the full Science curriculum across KS3 and KS4, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with the potential opportunity to teach your specialist subject at KS5 depending on departmental needs.

The school is known for its supportive, inclusive ethos and strong behaviour expectations. Staff are encouraged in their professional development, and the Science department is well‑resourced and highly collaborative.

In addition to this vacancy, there will be further Science opportunities available in the Stourbridge area once this assignment is completed, offering ongoing potential for long‑term roles.

You Will

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress using a variety of methods
  • Provide constructive feedback and targeted support
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and engagement

What We’re Looking For

  • PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS
  • A degree in a science‑related discipline
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Experience teaching KS3–KS4 Science (KS5 desirable)
  • Good behaviour management and confident classroom presence
  • Ability to plan, deliver and (where required) mark high‑quality lessons
