Location: Telford & surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience


About the Role

A secondary school in the Telford area is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team full‑time from April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach across the full science curriculum at KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with the added opportunity to deliver your specialist science subject at KS5.

You Will:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Assess student progress through tests, assignments and other evaluation methods
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and tailored support
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour

What We’re Looking For:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification with QTS
  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally in a science‑related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence teaching KS3–KS4 Science, with KS5 experience desirable
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level, with strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Ability to plan, deliver and (where applicable) mark high-quality lessons
    • Planning and marking required only for short-term or long-term placements
