SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently recruiting for a part-time Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs school in the Nottinghamshire area. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
– Work within a special educational needs environment
– Collaborate effectively with a team to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment
– Monitor and manage challenging behaviours of students with moderate to complex needs
– Provide support and assistance to the classroom teacher
– Assist students with their learning and development in line with their individual education plans

Requirements
– Previous experience working in special educational needs settings is essential
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
– Understanding of various moderate to complex needs and how to support individuals with these challenges

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
