Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) in their learning journey? Do you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant and thrive in a part-time role? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Tyseley, due to start as soon as possible. This is a part-time role working 3 days a week. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support students with their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist students with SEN in their daily activities and learning tasks
– Support teachers in implementing individual education plans
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children with SEND
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience and empathy towards students with diverse learning needs
– Relevant qualifications in education or SEND support

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
