SEND Teaching Assistant (PMLD)

Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive, and highly specialised SEND school in Telford, working with children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.

Start Date: April 2026 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm Contract: Ongoing for the academic year (with potential to go permanent) Location: Telford Agency: Zest Education

💼 About the Role

  • Supporting pupils with PMLD and complex medical/learning needs
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Providing personal care where required
  • Using sensory-based learning approaches
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
  • Full-time hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Start after February half term and continue throughout the academic year
  • Temporary to begin with, but a permanent contract may be offered for the right person
