We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
– Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in classroom activities.
– Assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
– Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the unique needs of students.
– Monitoring and documenting student progress, communicating observations to the wider team.
– Providing personal care and support to students, including assistance with feeding, toileting, and mobility, as necessary.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with students with special needs, either in an educational or care setting.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND.
– The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
– Relevant qualifications or training in special education or a related field is desirable.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
