Zest Education are currently working alongside a great school in Walsall  to recruit a Design Technology teacher in a full time position from September 2024 in an ongoing position.

The school promotes inclusivity and equality for all, staff and students, as well as ensuring the environment is happy and safe to promote excellent learning. The school benefits from excellent outdoor facilities and has a supportive SLT, training is provided should it be needed. 

The ideal candidate will be joining the wider design and technology department, working cooperatively to share lessons plans and ideas with other members of the department, working towards achieving excellent exam results, and continuing to raise standards.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Design & Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Product Design and Systems and Control knowledge would be an advantage)
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management.
