Zest Education are seeking a passionate and committed English teacher to join a high-performing Secondary School in the Harborne area. This is a part-time position where you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. The role is due to commence in April 2024 and will run on a 0.8 basis. The role is expected to run for a minimum of one term, but has the potential to be extended until the end of the academic year.


– Delivering engaging English lessons that align with the curriculum standards
– Planning and preparing lessons according to the needs and abilities of the students
– Assessing and evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback
– Implementing effective classroom management strategies
– Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated English curriculum
– Communicating with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements
– Participating in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school activities as required


– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in English
– Relevant experience teaching English to secondary school students
– A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
– Good organizational and time management skills
– Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the school and students
