Zest Education are seeking a passionate and committed English teacher to join a high-performing Secondary School in the Harborne area. This is a part-time position where you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. The role is due to commence in October 2024 and will run on a 0.8 basis. The role is expected to run for two terms, but has the potential to be extended for the full academic year.
– Delivering engaging English lessons that align with the curriculum standards
– Planning and preparing lessons according to the needs and abilities of the students
– Assessing and evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback
– Implementing effective classroom management strategies
– Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated English curriculum
– Communicating with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements
– Participating in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other school activities as required
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent qualification in English
– Relevant experience teaching English to secondary school students
– A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
– Good organizational and time management skills
– Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the school and students

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
