Maths Teacher

Zest Education are looking to recruit a Maths teacher for a high performing secondary school in the Shropshire region. This role is set to start September 2024 but could potentially start earlier for the right candidate.

The school are a local high performing secondary who aim to work with their students to achieve the best results they can. A strong SLT also supports the wellbeing and development of its staff on supports those who wish to develop their knowledge and career while at the school.

The school is looking for someone to take on the full maths teaching role, planning and marking lessons, in class tests/exams. This also means the chosen candidate will be an integral part of the wider maths department liaising with other staff to ensure students are reaching their target and creating plans for those that are struggling.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for the subject of Mathematics and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
