Zest Education are currently seeking a passionate Teacher of Religious Education to join an excellent secondary school in the Redditch area. The school is part of a Multi Academy Trust, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for staff. This is a full-time role, where planning and marking will be required. The role is due to commence in April 2024 and will run until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of religious teachings and beliefs, as well as the ability to encourage critical thinking and open-mindedness in students. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively engage with both students and parents. You will also have a thorough knowledge of the KS3 to KS5 curriculum and be able to create effective lesson plans to ensure student progress and achievement.

Responsibilities:

– Delivering engaging and interactive lessons to students in accordance with the Religious Education curriculum
– Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and resources
– Assessing and evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback
– Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth
– Participating in staff meetings and school events as required
– Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum strategies that enhance student learning
– Keeping up-to-date with subject knowledge and educational advancements in the field of Religious Education

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Proven experience in teaching Religious Education across KS3-KS5
– Strong knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and assessment requirements
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
– A passion for teaching and a commitment to the academic and personal development of students
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Strong organisational and time management skills
– Willingness to engage in continued professional development

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
