Teacher of Religious Education

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a passionate Teacher of Religious Education to join a secondary school in the Redditch area. The school is known for its high standards and commitment to excellence in education. This is a full time-role where planning and marking is required. The role is due to commence in April 2025 and will run until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging and informative Religious Education lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum
– Create and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
– Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
– Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and understanding of different religious and cultural beliefs
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and best practices
– Stay up to date with the latest developments in religious education, incorporating them into teaching and learning where appropriate
– Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required
– Work closely with parents and guardians to provide support and guidance for student success

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Degree in Religious Education or a related field
– Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level
– Strong subject knowledge with an ability to teach a broad range of topics and beliefs
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students
– Organisational skills and attention to detail for planning and marking
– Dedication to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
