Zest Education are looking to recruit an experienced Teacher of Science for a secondary school in the Coventry area. The school is part of a successful Multi-Academy Trust, meaning the successful candidate with have a supportive environment in which to thrive. The successful candidate will also be committed to inspiring and educating students in their chosen science specialism. This is a full time role with planning and marking responsibilities. The role is due to commence in September 2024 and has the potential to run for the full academic year.
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and standards
– Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback for improvement
– Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Support students in their academic and personal development
– Participate in staff meetings, parent/guardian conferences, and other school-related activities as required
– Fulfill marking and planning duties in a timely and effective manner
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
– Strong knowledge and expertise in a science specialism
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process
– Understanding of assessment and feedback strategies
– Experience in planning and delivering effective lessons for diverse student populations

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
