Zest Education are looking to recruit an experienced Teacher of Science for a secondary school in the Coventry area. The school is part of a successful Multi-Academy Trust, meaning the successful candidate with have a supportive environment in which to thrive. The successful candidate will also be committed to inspiring and educating students in their chosen science specialism. This is a full time role with planning and marking responsibilities. The role is due to commence in September 2025 and has the potential to run for the full academic year.
Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum and standards
– Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback for improvement
– Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Support students in their academic and personal development
– Participate in staff meetings, parent/guardian conferences, and other school-related activities as required
– Fulfill marking and planning duties in a timely and effective manner
Qualifications:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
– Strong knowledge and expertise in a science specialism
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process
– Understanding of assessment and feedback strategies
– Experience in planning and delivering effective lessons for diverse student populations
