Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a Teacher of Science to join an excellent secondary school in the Halesowen area on a part-time (0.4) basis. This role involves teaching students across KS3 and KS4, requiring strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and inspire young learners. This role is due to commence in September 2024 and will run for a minimum of one term.

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
– Mark and provide feedback on student work to support their learning and progress
– Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment in the classroom
– Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive science curriculum
– Uphold the high standards of the school and contribute to its success

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
– Strong knowledge of the science curriculum at KS3 and KS4
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students in their learning
– Previous experience in teaching science at secondary level

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
